Gentlemen, after a brief 4 year hiatus, Altitude Sports Radio is excited to be back in the scoring column again!
Speaking of exciting, why not kickoff with the biggest tilt of the night in the battle of the top dogs between the Oles and Hart Foundation. Despite a valiant effort from the Harts, the Oles led by Kyle Connor were too much and went on to claim highboy of the night as well as top spot in the standings.
FINAL : Oles 5.5 - Hart 3.0
From the top of the standings to a battle between the lower playoff seeds, it was a back and forth affair between the Hackers and Sting all night, with Sting ultimately pulling clear in the late games despite a 3 point effort from Huberdeau.
FINAL : Sting 4.5 - Hackers 3.0
In a matchup (although not much of a matchup) between the Dutchies and Avs, the orange army was ultimately too much to handle for the kid, and the team with the namesake of the reigning champs remains in the basement.
FINAL : Dutchies 4.5 - Avs 1.0
Another mid-table battle between the Flash and Doctors was a close affair, with goaltending ultimately being the difference between the teams as the most temped goalies on the night the LA Kings help the Doctors to a victory in a low-scoring battle.
FINAL : Flash -0.5 - Doctors 1.5
While some teams didn't live up to their names on the night, Kickass did exactly that as led by Kadri they lay the hammer on a Posse team who was simply no match on the night.
FINAL : Kickass 5.0 - Posse 1.5
Finally, in another low-scoring tilt on the short gamenight, goaltending was once again the difference between the tightly matches Wais Guys and VBs as in an otherwise even matchup the Leafs lead the VBs to victory and further clear of the basement.
FINAL : Wais Guys 0.5 - VBs 1.5
3 STARS OF THE NIGHT:
