Quarter Finals Game 5

Game 5.
It’s time to nut up, or shut up!
All 3 remaining series coming into this game night have one of the two teams facing elimination…typical AHL excitement for this season. Kudos Gentlemen!
Who’s getting kicked off the cliff and who’s still hanging on courageously enough to fight for another game?
3 Stars:
Point TB 3G 3A
Kucherov 1G 4A
Keller 1G 1A
2. Posse vs 7. Sting
Surprisingly, in this series, the pre-playoff favourite Posse were the ones on the brink of elimination coming into the fifth game. Long story short, Sting don’t have a Kucherov on this night. Posse kick Sting’s butt 5-0 to stay alive in the series.
Sting lead series 3-2
3 Foundation vs. 6 Doctors
Also on the brink of elimination, the Doctors are looking to stay alive and push the Foundation one more mile. The game was tight all evening with both teams’ goalies putting up a zero. This one would come down to pure skill. Both teams also got points from almost the same number of players and remarkably, neither team even had a player that put up more than a single point. Luckily for the Foundation, they had more goals vs the Doctors’ playters only putting up assists and that was the difference maker. Foundation squeeze out a close one 3.5 to 2 sending the doctors planning for next year. Looking forward to seeing what trades the doctors pull off now that they’re officially in the offseason. Will they live up to their trading reputation and build a monster team for next year? Only time will tell!
Foundation win series 4-1
4 Avs vs. 5 Kickass
Another tight series going shot for shot. This one saw the Kickass with the 3-1 series lead coming into it and the Avs hangin’ around. Right out of the gate, the Kickass goalies weren’t doing their coach any favours by putting up a dismal -3. Kickass had some decent scoring from their players, but none could match the output of Point who lead the way for the Avs with a stellar 3 goals and 3 assists. That and an additional 4 from the Avs other players and this one was a blood bath. Avs take this one easily 7-0 thus staying alive to fight another day.
